I am one of God's own children,
And I am the friend of Christ.
Justified, redeemed, forgiven,
For He bought me with a price.
I'm a member of His body
And adopted as His child,
Having access to the Father,
Through the Spirit, reconciled.
I am free from condemnation
And assured all works for good,
Hid with Christ in God the Father,
Born of Him, my [...]
Whenever we're discouraged, and
Our hopefulness takes wings,
We must remember that there's One
Who's Master of all things.
His word of pow'r all things did make,
By Him all things consist.
All things He's working for our good,
And nothing has He missed.
Appointed heir of everything,
The church's head of all,
He counts the hairs on every head
And knows when sparrows fall.
All things [...]
That inner voice is pleading,
And we can't ignore the sound,
The call to godly living
Drawing us to holy ground.
By it the Spirit beckons,
Bidding each to do his part
To cast aside the earthly
Claims than spoil a useful heart.
For 'til the heart is broken
And is cleansed from every sin,
There'll be no cracks
Through which can shine
The Treasure that's within.
That [...]
"Let not your heart be troubled
Nor have anxiety,
For just as you've believed in God
You can believe in Me."
"Don't waste your time in fretting
But do anticipate,
The day you''l leave your troubles
And walk through heaven's gate."
"My Father's house has mansions —
I've gone to make your place —
And when you least expect it,
I'll come for you with [...]
The pow'r of prayer invisibly
Can move the hand of God
To hold at bay the enemies
Who seek to spoil our good.
When wrestling with an unseen foe
Who gradually prevails,
It lifts His arms decisively
To deftly tip the scales.
With stubborn kings or rainless skies
Or eyes that cannot see,
"Call unto Me," His word invites,
"And I will answer thee."
"I'll show thee [...]
In every troubled blast,
Two anchors hold us fast
Before the throne.
They never let us slip
In worry's tossing ship;
With hearts in heaven's grip,
We're not alone.
For if we fall in sin,
There's One who enters in
Before the throne.
He is our Advocate,
Our weakness ne'er forgets,
Who now in glory sits,
The Righteous One.
Another intercedes,
Our cause He ever pleads
Before the throne.
And when we [...]
This vale of tears that we call life–
True rest too seldom found–
Compels us look beyond the strife
In search of heaven's ground.
The weary soul with hurting heart
Whom trials and cares surround,
Can still endure life's deepest dark
With light from heaven's ground.
For as the sun shines forth by day,
God's grace through love abounds
To pluck [...]
Early, early I will seek Him
Seek Him first, foremost of all.
Heaven's dew is then the freshest,
That on me His grace may fall.
Seek Him earnestly and often,
Seek Him while He may be found.
Once the hardened heart has softened,
Then we are on praying ground.
Seek Him when your visions perish,
Plans derailed by Satan's darts.
He's the One who [...]
Today could be the very day
The sky above will break away,
Revealing heaven's majesty
Of streets of gold and crystal sea.
Christ will descend midst clouds of white,
With angel's voice and shout of might —
As trump of God resounds on high —
In just the twinkle of an eye.
The dead in Christ from earth then torn
Will meet him in [...]
Mighty and majestic Father,
Who can be compared to you?
None in earth or heaven either;
You are holy, faithful, true.
Son of God, you are exalted!
At your name each knee will bend —
Prince of every earthly kingdom —
And your reign will never end.
Holy Spirit, you are gentle,
Move me to forsake my sin.
Working from the inside outward,
Change me from [...]
